About Pacific Peaks Roofing

A Family-Owned Florence Roofer With Our Name on the Door

We are Pacific Peaks Roofing, a family owned roofing contractor based in Florence, Oregon. We live on this coast, we raise our families here, and we roof the same homes our neighbors live in. That is not a marketing line for us. It is the whole reason the work is done the way it is. The roof over your house has to stand up to salt air, wind-driven rain, and long wet winters, and we treat every job like it is going on the house next to ours, because more often than not, it is.

Meet the owner

Pacific Peaks Roofing is run by Luke Carroll. Luke started this company for a simple reason: too many homeowners on the Oregon coast were getting roofs that looked fine on day one and started failing the first hard winter, because the work was rushed, the wrong materials were used for a marine climate, or the crew that did the install was gone the next week. He wanted to build a roofing company that did it right the first time and stood behind it in writing.

Luke grew up around this weather and knows what it does to a building. He has seen the difference between a roof installed by someone passing through and a roof installed by people who have to drive past it for years afterward. That is the standard Pacific Peaks is built on. When you call, you are dealing with a local owner whose name is on the company, not a call center and not an out-of-state outfit that disappears after the check clears.

We are a family owned roofing contractor in Florence, Oregon, licensed, bonded, and insured under Oregon CCB #254443. You can verify our license any time at the Oregon Construction Contractors Board: search.ccb.state.or.us.

What we stand for

We keep our values short because they are the things we will not bend on. Each one is a promise you can hold us to on your own job.

  • One accountable contractor. Pacific Peaks manages the whole job and stands behind it. Every crew on your roof is held to our standards and overseen by us, so the same standard, the same accountability, and the same written warranty cover the whole project from first call to final walkthrough.
  • Coastal-grade by default. Salt air corrodes ordinary fasteners and flashing. We build with stainless components and corrosion-resistant detailing as the standard here, not as an upsell, because that is what a roof on this coast actually needs.
  • Straight talk. You get an itemized written estimate, an honest answer about repair versus replacement, and a plain explanation of what your roof needs and what it does not. If something can wait, we will tell you.
  • Local accountability. We are here when the job is done and the season after. A Florence roofer with their name on the door has every reason to make it right, and we do.

What salt and wind taught us

Roofing on the Oregon coast is its own trade. A crew that does great work in a dry inland town can put a perfectly clean roof on a Florence home and watch it fail early, because the coast does not forgive shortcuts that pass without notice somewhere else.

Salt air is the first teacher. It works into every fastener and flashing detail and quietly corrodes anything that is not built to resist it. That is why stainless components on a PVC membrane roof and corrosion-resistant detailing on metal and shingle systems are not optional for us. We learned that the hard way is no way to learn it on your roof, so we build it in from the start.

Wind is the second teacher. Strong coastal gusts do not just lift shingles, they drive rain sideways and find any seam, vent, or transition that was not detailed for it. So we think about wind and water together: how the system sheds a downpour that is coming at it from the side, not just from above. And the long wet winters, plus the shade and moss that come with them along the coast and the valley, taught us to plan for moisture over years, not just for the day of the install. That experience is the difference between a roof that survives a coastal winter and one that just got through a sunny afternoon.

Locally owned, here for the long run

Pacific Peaks is locally owned in Florence and works the coast from Newport down to Coos Bay, along with the valley, from Roseburg up toward Albany. We are not a franchise and not a brand parked here from somewhere else. We know these towns, these neighborhoods, and the way the weather moves through them, because we live in it.

Being local is not just a feel-good detail. It changes how the work gets done. We can get out to look at a roof, we are reachable when a question comes up, and we are still around if you ever need us after the job. When your roofer lives in the same weather you do, you are not the only one who has a stake in the roof holding. So do we.

How we run a job, step by step

We keep the process clear so you always know what is happening and what comes next. There are no surprises in how a Pacific Peaks job runs.

  1. Inspection and honest assessment. We get up on the roof, look at the whole system, and tell you what we actually find, including whether a repair will do or a replacement makes more sense.
  2. Itemized written estimate. You get the scope, the materials, and the price in writing, laid out so you can read it and compare it line by line.
  3. Contract and permit. We put the agreement in writing and handle the permitting that the job requires so it is done by the book.
  4. Scheduling around the weather. We plan the install for a real weather window. On this coast that matters, and we will be honest about a rain delay rather than rush an install in the wet.
  5. Tear-off, decking check, and install. We protect your landscaping, pull the old roof, inspect the decking underneath, and install the new system with coastal-grade detailing throughout.
  6. Cleanup, walkthrough, and warranty in hand. We run a nail-magnet sweep, walk the finished job with you, and leave you with your written workmanship warranty.

If you want to know what a legitimate job should look like start to finish, including how a good roofer handles communication, payment, and a fair process, read our guide on what a fair roofing process looks like.

The warranty we put in writing

Every Pacific Peaks job is backed by our own 10-year written workmanship warranty. That covers our labor and installation: the part of your roof that is in our hands. It is separate from the manufacturer's material warranty, which is the manufacturer's coverage for defects in the product on the manufacturer's own terms. We keep those two things clearly distinct so you know exactly who stands behind what, and we put our part in writing so there is nothing to wonder about later.

We offer flexible financing through Acorn Finance so a new roof can fit a monthly payment, not just a lump sum. You can check your rate in a couple of minutes without affecting your credit score, and Acorn shows real offers from a network of lenders so you can pick the monthly payment and term that fit. Financing is subject to credit approval; Pacific Peaks does not make lending decisions or set rates. See our Financing page for details.
